Walking the streets of Lisbon /Lisboa we stumbled upon a brass shop so we had a look inside for some nice things to go on the boat. It had beautiful door knockers hinges and handles . But what really caught dads eye was a chicken for knocker . Knock knock … whose there … dads …dads who … dads chicken for knocker. Dad complemented him and then talking about what we did and who we were and all the other interesting facts about us. After he said that his son sails and every day he looked at the tracker and for a few days it went off and he was so nervous. He went into the back room and brought a Cruz de Santiago in English The cross of St. James to gift us to keep us safe on our travels. The cross of S. James was made to protect pilgrims when walking the Camino de Santiago. It can be painted on scallop shells or stitched onto the clothes. We thought that this was extremely nice of him and we have stuck it on the wall.
