What we did on Brownsea Island .

Red Squirrels of Brownsea
Red Squirrels of Brownsea

Going though the mouth of Poole we were pushing 3 knots of tide past the chain ferry that wouldn’t stop for anything as it was being pulled along by 2 chains. That night we went to the Lord Nelson for a drink, after we went into town and a seagull pooped on me. ( if a bird poos on you it is good luck) so we washed my hair in the pub and went to the arcade (it was super fun). We woke up had breakfast and took the dog for a walk on the coastal path. We discovered a bike racing course then we came back to dingy to Brownsea island. Dash the dog isn’t allowed on Brownsea island because of the wildlife so we left him on the boat. We beached the dingy at pottery pier we didn’t know why it was called this until we saw all the broken pots. As we walked across the island searching for red squirrel’s we saw an extremely angry peacock , an orange beaked bird with black feathers (an oyster catcher) finally at the end of the path we saw a red squirrel climbing on a post eating from the bird feeders then again later behind the church were not one but two red squirrel’s digging for acorns. After watching them for a while we found a park which was super fun because we all had a hurdles competition and Dad was the only one who could do it. The last ferry from the island is at 5pm but as we had dingied we stayed later but had to be go off the island by 8pm. After a long day of exploring my legs were tired so we decided to go and find our dingy I had to help daddy push it down the beach as the tide had gone a long way out but unfortunately whist pushing the dingy one of its wheels snapped. On the way back saw dash peering out of the stern windows I think he slept on Mum and Dads bed ; was happy to see us return.
