Chapter One- The Beginning

CHAPTER ONE' 2025 We'd had enough of 9-5 life and decided we wanted to see the world. To make this happen we put our house on the market that eventually sold in January 2026 and went on a hunt for a sail boat that was capable of sailing a family over Oceans. We viewed a number of boats including Moody's and Nauticat's but fell in love with a Transpacific 49 that was berthed in Portishead. Her name is Juna she is a solid Taiwanese boat built thirty years ago and had been upgraded by her previous owner with plenty of solar, lithium batteries, davits and a highfield tender that was on our wish list. So we sold everything we owned, Stored a few keep sakes and moved onto Juna in Febuary 2026. Since then we have done some of our own upgrades including a water maker, a new inner forestay and numerous repairs. So far we have sailed her from Portishead to Portland around the solent and down the South coast to Falmouth. We set sail from Falmouth Monday 20 July 26 to the Scilly lsles and this is where I feel like the real adventure has begun!
